Janet Stillwell has 30 years experience as a senior paralegal working in the Edmonton and Calgary legal communities for law firms varying from sole practitioners to mid-size to large international firms in roles ranging from executive assistant to the Managing Partner to intellectual property and corporate commercial paralegal, to being the head of a corporate department with 3 staff, to being responsible for a full range of corporate transactions. Utilizing her CORES III accreditation, Janet has consulted for law firms in the creation and re-organization of corporate precedents and protocol.
Penny Doyle has worked exclusively in the Calgary legal community since 1988. A Senior Paralegal and Level III Cores accredited, Penny has practiced in various areas, including securities, focusing primarily in corporate and commercial since 1995. Penny has worked on a range of files from large, multi-million dollar transactions to smaller “Mom and Pop” deals. Penny has experience with Aboriginal Corporations, working with provincial and federal legislation to set-up and organize the needs of First Nations entities. Penny has also created, and in some cases completely reorganized, Corporate Records Departments for a number of law firms, which required detailed needs assessments and the implementations of successful operation systems.
Tracy Nielsen
graduated from the Legal Assistant course at SAIT and began her career with a corporate and intellectual property boutique law firm in 1997. In 2002. the law firm merged with a national law firm, where she worked, focusing on intellectual property and corporate-commercial law, until 2006. Tracy then worked on a contract basis at a mid-size firm as a corporate paralegal, with an emphasis on detailed minute book audits until 2008. Her diverse background includes real estate and securities law experience. Tracy has been a Level III accredited CORES user since inception of CORES in 1998. In addition to her work, Tracy enjoys volunteering with a wonderful organization called Dreams Take Flight.
